I am entranced by the magnificent pots and glazes of Song dynasty China.
My particular interests are throwing porcelain bowls, and re-creating the beautiful Song dynasty glazes.
After spending some years in China and Africa, I now live in the Wye valley, near Tintern abbey
Formal training in studio ceramics: BTEC (two year full time course), then HNC at the Royal Forest of Dean College.
The following year, I was lucky enough to work for Frank Hamer (joint author with Janet Hamer, of the standard reference work, “The Potter’s Dictionary”).
I am an active member of South Wales Potters.
